Gestures are movements made with body parts.

手势是用身体部位做出的动作。

They may be either voluntary or involuntary. Arm gestures can be interpreted in several ways.

For example, when one sits with folded arms, this is normally not a welcoming gesture.

It could mean that a person has a closed mind and is most likely unwilling to listen to the speaker's viewpoint.
